Palmetto sits just across the Manatee River from our Bradenton base, which makes it one of the easiest places for us to work. We help owners of older Palmetto homes and newer builds update bathrooms, kitchens and floors.

Palmetto is the small city on the north bank of the Manatee River, directly across the water from Bradenton. For our crew, that means a quick trip over the bridge. For you, it means remodeling help in Palmetto from a company that's close enough to come back easily for follow-ups and small fixes long after the main project is done.
The homes we see in Palmetto
Palmetto has a long history in Manatee County, and its housing spans a wide range of ages. Around the older core of town you'll find established neighborhoods with modest single-story homes, many of them concrete block on slab, some with original bathrooms and kitchens. Farther out, newer subdivisions have filled in over the years, and those homes usually need updated finishes rather than repairs.
Because parts of the area sit near the river and the bays, flood-zone status and storm resilience come up often. It's worth knowing your property's flood designation before a major remodel, since it can influence material choices.
Palmetto neighborhoods and nearby communities
- Historic downtown Palmetto — older homes on small lots, often with a single hall bath and original floors.
- Terra Ceia — a waterfront community north of town where flood-zone checks and moisture-tolerant materials matter most.
- Snead Island — canal and bay-front homes west of downtown, with the same coastal considerations.
- The US 41 and US 301 corridors — a mix of mid-century houses, villas and newer subdivisions.
Across the river, Bradenton shares much of Palmetto's older housing stock. To the east, Ellenton and Parrish have their own pages.
Where Palmetto homeowners usually start
If you're not sure what to tackle first, here's the order we suggest for older homes:
- Anything involving water. A leaking shower, soft floor near the toilet or failing grout should come before cosmetic upgrades.
- The bathroom. It's the room most likely to be both dated and hiding problems.
- Floors. Replacing worn carpet or mismatched flooring with new flooring ties older rooms together quickly.
- The kitchen. A kitchen remodel or a cabinet and countertop replacement makes the biggest daily difference.
- Paint and trim. Interior and exterior painting and new baseboards finish the job.
Bathrooms: where most Palmetto projects start
Many Palmetto bathrooms are small hall baths that serve a whole household, so planning around downtime matters as much as picking tile. Our Palmetto bathroom remodeling page explains how we keep a one-bathroom home running during the work.
If it suits your budget, we can also do the work in stages, for example the shower now and the vanity and floor next year.
